FAQ
For Payers

A business you’ve dealt with is using Brumby Pay to offer a smoother, more rewarding way to pay your invoice or bill. Brumby Pay doesn’t collect payments or act as a debt collector. We simply provide a secure payment link where, if your payment falls on a published milestone, you’ll receive a reward, issued directly by Brumby Pay.
There’s no pressure, no randomness, and no obligation, just a clear, compliant way to reward positive payment behaviour.
Brumby Pay is an Australian-owned platform that acknowledges payments made in full and on time by issuing rewards when predefined payment milestones are reached. Brumby Pay works with businesses to support predictable payments and cash flow without applying pressure or incentives.
How do rewards work?
When a business uses Brumby Pay, eligible payments may count toward milestone tracking. This can include:
• Invoices or bills paid via Brumby Pay (including those paid using a Brumby Pay app-linked card); and
• In-store (point of sale) or online (eCommerce) payments made with a card linked to the Brumby Pay app.
Payments made in full and on time may contribute to:
• Individual milestones (based on how many eligible payments a customer has made); and/or
• Nationwide milestones (based on total eligible payments across all users).
When a predefined milestone is reached, Brumby Pay automatically issues the reward to the payer whose payment met that milestone. All rewards are managed and funded by Brumby Pay, not by the business issuing the invoice.
Milestones are fixed, transparent, and communicated in advance. There is no randomness, no gambling, and no guaranteed reward - just clear, system-defined milestones that apply equally to all eligible payments.
Yes, Brumby Pay is a legitimate Australian platform designed to acknowledge timely invoice payments by offering rewards when certain payment milestones are achieved. We collaborate with businesses to provide a seamless and compliant payment experience, enhancing cash flow without applying pressure or acting as a debt collector.
To verify the legitimacy of a Brumby Pay link:
Confirm with the Business: If you're uncertain, contact the business directly using contact details you have independently sourced to confirm the payment request.
Check for Secure Payment: Ensure the payment page uses secure protocols (look for "https" in the URL and a padlock icon in the address bar).
Be Aware of Scams: Scammers can impersonate businesses by sending fake invoices. Always verify payment details, especially if there are changes to bank account information.
If you have concerns about a payment request, it's advisable to reach out directly to the business or consult official resources like the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) for guidance on identifying and avoiding scams.
Brumby Pay milestones are based on payment counts, not payment amounts. Each eligible payment paid in full and on time counts as one step toward the next milestone, regardless of value.
This approach keeps the system simple, fair, and consistent for all users.
Yes. Brumby Pay is an optional payment method, it doesn’t change the amount you owe, the due date, or the business’s payment terms. You’re free to pay the business directly using any other method they offer. However, payments made outside Brumby Pay won’t be tracked toward reward milestones and won’t be eligible for Brumby Pay-issued rewards.
No, there’s no extra cost to be eligible for a Brumby Pay reward.
If your payment is made through Brumby Pay and meets the published milestone criteria, the reward is issued at no additional charge to you.
In some cases, a small card surcharge may apply at checkout depending on the payment method you chose, but this is unrelated to the reward and will always be shown clearly before you proceed.
If your payment triggers a Brumby Pay milestone, you don’t need to do anything, we’ll handle it for you.
Brumby automatically:
Confirms the payment met milestone criteria
Issues the reward directly to you via our App, email or SMS
Sends a confirmation so you know it’s been delivered
There’s no signup, no forms, and no delays. If you qualified, you’ll receive the reward, simple as that.
Brumby Pay rewards are milestone-based, issued only when a published platform-wide milestone is triggered by your payment.
If eligible, you may receive:
eGift vouchers from well-known Australian retailers
Brumby Pay-issued digital rewards redeemable via approved partners
Other non-cash, non-stored value rewards, determined by the active milestone campaign
All rewards are issued by Brumby Pay after payment is confirmed as cleared in the creditors account. They're fixed, auditable, and never involve chance, gambling, or prepaid value. You don’t need to sign up, and there’s no extra cost, just a simple thank you for paying on time.
If your payment triggers a published Brumby Pay milestone, your reward will be issued after the payment is confirmed and settled, usually within 1–2 business days.
Brumby Pay handles all reward delivery directly. You’ll receive your reward by email or SMS, using the contact details you provided at payment / checkout.
There’s no action required on your part, if you’re eligible, you’ll receive the reward automatically once all conditions are met.
If you pay a business directly outside Brumby Pay, your payment won’t be tracked toward Brumby Pay milestones and won’t be eligible for a reward.
To be counted, your payment must be made either:
• using the secure Brumby Pay payment link or invoice reference/code provided by the business; or
• using a payment card that is linked to your Brumby Pay app, so the transaction can be recognised and recorded.
This ensures the payment timing, amount, and eligibility are captured correctly.
If you’re unsure, contact the business and ask them to resend the Brumby Pay payment link, or make sure your card is linked in the Brumby Pay app before paying.
Brumby Pay supports secure payments via our regulated payment partners, including:
• PayID / NPP (instant account-to-account payments)
• Card payments (Visa or Mastercard)
• Debit card transactions made using a card linked to the Brumby Pay app
• Other approved payment types as enabled by our payment partners (for example, BPAY or direct debit, where available)
All available payment options are displayed clearly at checkout. PayID is typically the fastest and most cost-effective option, with near-instant settlement.
Note: A card surcharge may apply depending on the payment method selected. Any applicable surcharge is always shown before you confirm payment.
Yes, Brumby Pay is built with security and compliance at its core.
We partner with Monoova, a regulated Australian payment provider, to process all transactions securely using encrypted, PCI-DSS-compliant infrastructure. Your payment details are never stored by Brumby Pay. All data is handled in accordance with Australian privacy law, and we never share your information without consent. You’ll always see a secure (https) payment page, and you can contact us anytime if something doesn’t look right.
Late payments still go to the business, but they won’t count toward any Brumby Pay reward milestones, and no reward will be issued. Brumby Pay is here to recognise and reward timely, voluntary payment, not to chase or punish. If a payment falls outside the milestone timing, it simply isn’t eligible.
We believe good payment behaviour should be acknowledged.
If something doesn’t look right or you need help, we’re here to support you.

Brumby Pay is a secure platform that manages milestone-based rewards on behalf of businesses to recognise good payment behaviour.
